Could you be the Senior care assistant in Camberley we’re looking for?
Our amazing senior care assistants are roll-your-sleeves-up, supportive, positive, honest, warm and committed kind of people. The kind of people who love to help others get the most out of life.
As well as caring for older people in their own homes, supporting them in all sorts of ways you will be supporting the care team to ensure that high standards of care practice is maintained through conducting spot checks, competency checks and observations. You will support the Care Manager in operating the on-call system and provide leadership and in-field training & supervision to new members of the care team.
You will need some previous care experience to join our Radfield Home Care team in Camberley as a Senior care assistant, you will also need a UK driver’s licence, be over the age of 18 and have access to a vehicle.
We’d love to hear from you if you’ve got previous care experience in roles such as Senior care assistant, caregiver, care home assistant, care worker, support worker, healthcare assistant, home care assistant, carer and care home worker.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The role requires contact with vulnerable clients and therefore all roles will be subject to enhanced DBS disclosure and satisfactory references.
Pay and Working Hours:
We are a Living Wage Foundation employer.
This position is a ‘Guaranteed Hours’ contract at 37.5hrs per week. The hourly pay is as follows:
Monday to Friday: £16.00
Saturday / Sunday £19.00
(Bank holidays: Monday to Friday £27.00 Saturday / Sunday £30.00)
The hours of work are from 7.00am to 3.00pm five days a week, on a two-week rotation:
- Monday to Friday (week 1)
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (week 2)
There is an expectation to work on public/bank holidays, with an additional salary payment of £60.00 for each bank/public holiday worked.
You may wish to work on additional days as overtime, this would be accommodated upon request.

Daily Duties:
- Personal care
- Liaise with local practitioners to source equipment or treatment for our clients where needed
- Visiting clients or representatives to review the effectiveness of the current care provision
- Support and companionship
- Making and receiving telephone calls to clients and care staff
- Medication
- Domestic duties
- Taking clients out and about
- Provide feedback to less experienced members of the care team around best practice
