Job Title: Field Care Supervisor
Location: Office A, 32 Bank Street, WF5 8NL
Contract: 22.25 hours, Part-Time, Permanent
Salary: £13.46 per hour

JOB PURPOSE
Working as part of a professional team delivering a high quality domiciliary care service, you will report to the care manager and will take responsibility for the day to day management of operations in the field. You will undertake competency checks & will provide leadership & supervision to care staff across all areas of operation.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct scheduled spot checks and supervised visits to assess carers' work, providing constructive feedback to support their training and development.Perform client visits in alignment with company policies to ensure a professional, personalised care service that meets clients' needs.
Complete moving & handling, medication, and infection control checks and risk assessments following the latest guidance and company policies to ensure client and staff safety. This includes undertaking Train the Trainer certifications in moving & handling and medication training.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of risk assessments, care plans, and other relevant documentation.
Provide guidance and supervision to staff on all aspects of their work, assisting managers in keeping records current and accurate.
Step in to provide care services as needed to cover absences or staff shortages.
Support the training of carers to enable safe, competent performance in their roles.
Prepare a weekly workload and progress report for the Registered Manager.
Conduct care observations, recording details accurately and promptly in the appropriate care planning system.
Manage initial investigations of falls, accidents, and incidents, ensuring policies, procedures, and process guides are followed. Log all such events in the appropriate systems and notify the Registered Manager.
Carry out weekly monitoring visits, complete care certificate observations, and evaluate new staff competencies, recording these in the appropriate system.
Review care plans for new clients and deliver client folders as needed.
Conduct welfare checks with clients and staff, following our policies, procedures, and process guides.
Facilitate the development of care staff by completing Personal Development Plans regularly, per company guidelines.
Assist in HR investigations, documenting accurately and working closely with the Registered Manager and HR advisors.
Investigate complaints, take necessary action, and provide a comprehensive report to the Registered Manager.
Share positive feedback and success stories regarding clients and staff with the Registered Manager to foster strong relationships.
Uphold the company’s core values, policies, and standards in all interactions and responsibilities.
Collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal outcomes for clients.
Maintain confidentiality and protect all sensitive information.
Demonstrate integrity in all dealings, especially concerning clients' personal and financial matters.
Understand and enforce adult protection policies, including suspending staff if necessary, and be prepared to respond to emergencies.
Participate in the on-call and duty rota as required.
General Responsibilities
Adhere to the Skills for Care code of practice for social care workers and uphold equal opportunity principles in all interactions.
Maintain required records for both regulatory and company standards.
Complete additional reasonable tasks assigned.
Ensure confidentiality of all information and report inability to work or return promptly after absences.
Prioritise security and maintain all equipment in clean, functional condition.
Promote the company’s positive image and reputation within the community.
