What You’ll Receive

• Competitive pay: £13.75/hour weekdays | £14.75/hour weekends

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Care Assistant, you’ll provide one-to-one support to older people in their own homes, helping them stay independent, comfortable, and connected to the community.

No two days are ever the same.

You could be:

• Supporting clients to enjoy outings such as afternoon tea, shopping trips, or fish and chips in Whitby

• Helping with personal care and daily routines

• Providing medication support

• Assisting with mobility, transfers, and safe movement

• Supporting clients to attend appointments and community activities

• Helping with shopping, meal preparation, cooking, and light household tasks

• Promoting independence, dignity, comfort, and companionship in every visit

This role can involve:

• Carrying shopping or household items

• Kneeling or working in low positions when supporting clients

• Assisting with mobility and manual handling

Where You’ll Work

You’ll support clients across York and surrounding villages, including:

Acomb, Bishopthorpe, Clifton, Copmanthorpe, Dringhouses, Fulford, Haxby, Huntington, Poppleton, Stamford Bridge, Wheldrake, Easingwold, Green Hammerton and nearby areas.

You’ll also need:

• A full UK driving licence

• Access to your own car

• The right to work in the UK

No Experience? We’ll Train You.

Many of our best Care Assistants joined us with no previous care experience.
